1、make flashcards 做抽认卡

例句:Make flashcards to study your new words. 制作抽认卡来学习新单词。

2、I study by working with a group.

我通过小组活动来学习。

by作为介词,用法很多。

例句:

1) Come and sit by us.

2) Peter goes to work by bus every day.

3) Tony will come back by 10:00 pm.

4) English is spoken by lots of people.

5) My brother studies history by working with a group.

1) by可表示位置,“在……旁边”,如句1。也有“从……旁边(经过)”之意。

2) by可表示交通、传递等的方式,如句2。

3) by可表示时间,“到(某时)之前;不迟于”,如句3。

4) by可用于构成被动语态,“被,由”,如句4。

5) by可表示方式或手段, “by + V-ing形式”结构在句中作方式状语,“通过……方式(方法)”或“借助……手段”,如句5。

3、aloud / loud/ loudly

aloud出声地;大声地。常与read/call等词连用,不用于比较级;(Don’t read aloud in the library.)

loud高声地;大声地;喧闹地。指说话声和笑声,常与talk/speak/laugh/sing等词连用,常用于比较级;( We can’t hear you. Please speak louder.)

loudly高声地;喧闹地。可以和loud互换,但含有“吵闹”的意思,不悦耳。( I feel very annoyed when they argue loudly.)

4、practice doing sth. 练习做某事

eg. We practice speaking English every day.(我们每天练习说英语。)

5、提建议的方法

(1)What about sth ?=How about sth? ….怎么样?

(2)Why don’t you sth? 为什么不呢?

(3)Let’s 让我们一起做某事吧。

(4)Shall we/I do sth?我们做…好吗?

(5)You’d better (not)do sth 最好做/不做某事

(6) Will/Would you please do sth 请你做…好吗?

(7)would you like to do sth.你想去做某事吗?

(8)Would you mind (doing)sth?你介意做某事吗?

6、回答

(1). 同意对方的建议时,一般用:

◆Good idea./ That’s good idea. 好主意

◆OK/ All right./ Great 好/ 行/太好了

◆Yes, please ./ I’d love to 是的/ 我愿意

◆I agree with you 我同意你的看法

◆No problem 没问题

◆Sure/ Of course/ Certainly 当然可以

◆Yes, I think so 对,我也这样想

(2).对对方的帮助或要求表示委婉谢绝时,一般用:

◆I don’t think so 我认为不是这样

◆Sorry, I can’t 对不起,我不能

◆I’d love to, but…

◆I’m afraid我愿意,但恐怕……

7、some time /sometime/some times/sometimes

【口诀】:分开是一段, 合起是某时; 分开s 是倍次,合起s是有时

8、too +形容词或副词+ to do sth.

太…..而不能去做某事

9、voice/noise /sound

(1)voice 多指人说话、唱歌、鸟的叫声。

(2)noise n → noisy adj. 吵闹的 指不悦耳的吵闹声 如嘈杂声、噪音等 make a noise制造噪音

(3)sound ①n 泛指人听到的任何声音。② v 听起来

10、I’ve learned a lot that way.

a lot 很多,做副词短语,修饰动词,放在动词之后。

11、Why did Wei Fen fi nd it diffi cult to learn English?

find+宾语+adj.+to do sth. .

Wang Dan found it easy to learn English.

find的其他用法

发现…….怎么样He found English very easy (easy).

发现某人在干某事。Yesterday I found a boy playing in the park.

发现…….Gina finds that she can not answer the question.

12、be afraid to do sth. 害怕某事(某人)。

But I was afraid to ask questions because my pronunciation was

very bad.

13、fall in love with

fall in love with和be in love with意思一样,但后者表状态可与时间段连用,前者表动作不可与时间段连用。

14、the more, the better 越多越好

◆ join sb. 加入到某个人群之中

(2) take part in 参加 ,指加入群体活动中并在活动中发挥重要作用。

把……和……连接或联系起来

7、It‟s + adj.(easy,difficult,important,necessary) +(for sb.) to do sth

若形容词表示事物特征的,如:easy ,difficult, hard ,important等,须用介词for

(形容物,用for)

若形容词表示人的性格、品质与特点,如:good ,kind ,nice, wrong等,用介词of。

(形容人用of)

8、stressed out “有压力的,紧张的 焦虑不安的”

通常和be / get 连用;构成be / get stressed out
